Zara Murad is a professional international dressage rider based in Shropshire, UK. She made history by becoming the first ever international dressage rider to represent Iraq, marking a significant milestone for the sport and for her country.
With an unshakable passion and determination, Zara trains her string of horses seven days a week, all with a clear focus: competing at the 2026 Asian Games and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Allegro
Training at Grand Prix and went down in history at the first ever international dressage horse for Iraq. Allegro (Leggy) was bred by Patrick Legg to be a hunt horse.
He an Irish sport horse and is defiantly not bred for dressage, but with hard work and determination from both sides Zara trained him from just broken to inter 2 level dressage.

Dabouche (Deedee)
Bred at Newton Stud and also owned by Anna Ross international Grand Prix rider Deedee turns all the heads with her striking movement and colour! She came to Zara to be trained to international levels where she can one day fly the flag for Iraq on the world stage!
Zara and Anna can see a huge future for this horse and can’t wait for her competition career to start next year!

Kvolsbæk’s Awesome Aurora
Originally bred in Denmark Aurora shows all the talent and poise for the top level. Zara has now trained her to advanced medium level and hoped to be flying her out to Japan for the Asian games.
Known at home as the “Princess” she truly shines. She recently had a podium finish at her first ever premier league.

Fairfield Wild Peridot
A home bred mare who at just 4 years old shows all the talent for the future. Zara and business partner Patrick spent much time carefully selecting breeding lines to come away with this stunning mare who was born at home (Fairfield).
She is now working well under saddle and is naturally so supple and forward the careful selection paid off! Her career will start next year as she heads out to compete.
